Our first full week of Live Oak, Summer in the City is more than halfway complete. Our 7 cabins of campers and our CITs and JCITs have been rockstars in terms of adapting to our new COVID-based reality. They’ve adapted to our new circumstances for operating Live Oak here in New Orleans, and it’s been a super fun week as a result.
Campers have gathered at City Park for in-person sessions on Monday and Wednesday, and during their time at Summer in the City campers and coaches have abided by our safety and health protocols. That includes taking temperatures, wearing masks, socially distancing, and sanitizing constantly. We are really thankful for the ways in which our campers and coaches have leaned into this new way of operating together, with everyone doing their part to keep one another safe.
We are excited for week two and really looking forward to a brand new storyline that starts on Monday…!
